UPHOLSTERY AND INTERIOR TRENDS FOR 2015
OUR FAVORITE HOME DECOR TRENDS FOR 2015
Welcome to the New Year! Front Porch Design & Upholstery would like to welcome in the year with a little peek at what we are seeing as some of the up and coming home decor and upholstery trends for 2015.
Masala the rich red brown Pantone color of the year is sure to be present from make up to throw pillows. We are starting to see this color already in plenty of the new upholstery fabrics.
Whether you love it or hate it you will be surrounded by masala throughout retail this year.
Since this color is so rich you will see it paired up a couple of ways
We think that we will see more ethnic prints this year. lots of native american and eskimo motifs in very neutral natural colors. print scale will vary but large placed motifs will be popular
With the richness of the masala color trending we are most likely going to see fabrics like chenille and velvet trend again. These luscious fabric will hold this color quite well. We think you will also see bulky textures and natural fibers showing up and paired with the rich velvety fabrics to create contrast. One of the most exciting trends that will be present this year is embroidered fabrics integrating shiny metallics ( copper/bronze/brass) and interesting stitch techniques. We also expect to see more brindle hide and light leather upholstered furniture
Moroccan /World traveler- to utilize the metallic and jewel tones
Ethnic- native american/eskimo- natural color pallate, bone, light leather, brindle hides, lambskin and mongolian lamb
Clean French city- White walls, metallic accents, clean furniture lines and the introduction of one dominant color.
FURNITURE & ACCESSORIES-
carved wood or natural wood
copper & bronze
lots and lots of throw pillows in every shape, fabric and size
wood base lamps
diffuse lighting that is art.
